Introducing our 2026 summer season! Charlie and the Chocolate Factory Jr and How To Dance In Ohio. We invite you to attend our 2026 Audition Prep Workshops if you are interested in developing your skills, meeting your directors, and working with other potential cast mates prior to our audition dates. Our organization does not cut, but we encourage you to come - whether new or returning!
Fees: Audition fee $15/student. Fee Waiver Available for families with verifiable economic need.
Tuition: $240/student; $40/off additional sibling

HOW TO DANCE IN OHIO
How to Dance in Ohio is a joyful and uplifting new musical exploring the universal need to connect and the courage it takes to step out into the world. With music by Jacob Yandura, lyrics and book by Rebekah Greer Melocik, the musical was adapted from the award-winning 2015 HBO documentary film by Alexandra Shiva.
Based on a true story, this feel good show follows a group of Autistic young adults and their families navigating change and preparing for a spring formal dance-a rite of passage that breaks open their daily routines in Columbus, Ohio.

Based on the iconic story, this spectacular stage show follows the hit West End and Broadway productions to combine the memorable songs from the original 1970's motion picture ('The Candy Man' and Pure Imagination' with all new numbers from the multi award winning songwriters of Hairspray. When Charlie Bucket finds one of the five golden, Charlie and the other winners can't wait to feast on the sweets of their dreams. But beyond the gates, they discover more than just remarkable edible delights. As they embark on an extraordinary journey through Willy Wonka's marvellous mind, they soon learn that nobody leaves the same way that they arrived...

Vocal Audition Requirements:
KCS will provide an accompanist
If You are auditioning for How To Dance In Ohio please come prepared with sheet music of a 16-32 bar cut from a musical. Acapella and the use of a track is not allowed. Please come prepared with a monologue memorized.
If you are auditioning for Charlie and the chocolate factory Jr. you may come prepared with sheet music of a 16-32 bar cut from a musical, or sing a acappella. The use of a track is not allowed
If you are auditioning for both shows, please come to the flex auditions slot and come prepared with a 16-32 bar cut and a monologue memorized. (Please note that if you are planning on auditioning for both shows, you will only be put into one show that fits you)
Dance Audition Requirements:
Closed toed shoes or Jazz shoes Highly Recommended. No crocs, sandals or flip flops!
Must be able to follow basic 8-count choreography.

2.When filling out the audition form, please put down ALL preplanned conflicts. Conflicts during tech week and performances will not be excused.

1.Younger audition, 9am-12pm: ages 7-12 (Charlie Jr.)
2.Flex auditions,1pm-4pm: ages 13-17 Charlie Jr. & Ohio)
3.Older auditions, 5pm-8pm: ages 13-17 (Ohio only)
