A Message from the  Founder of Kids Can Sing

Greetings!

My name is Kaylene Clark, founder of the group, Kids Can Sing! Growing up in Clovis, CA, I've really fallen in love with the community and all that it has to offer. However, one thing that I've found lacking, especially over the last few years was the unfortunate decline in youth arts - especially after the COVID-19 pandemic.

That said, I've felt it's become my mission to build and bring something to Fresno that does not currently exist - a youth choir where students can have fun, sing, socialize, and serve the community. This initiative is meant to rebuild youth arts in Fresno, and re-energize and excite students about the beauty in singing. I envision Kids Can Sing! being a choir that can become recognized at not just a local level, but even at a state and national level in the near future.

The question is.... How will we achieve this?

I asked myself this same question 2 years ago. This idea of Kids Can Sing! has always been a dream of mine. A dream where I'm able to provide our community with a group that promotes love, happiness, and unity for all. A group where ALL are TRULY welcome. I've worked in some of the most impoverished communities throughout the central valley, serving children who are desperately in need of one thing - hope. This choir will bring that hope.

That's where you come in. In bringing your child to this group, you are giving them the opportunity not just to learn about music, but you're giving them the opportunity to make great friends, build a choir community, rebuild the arts community, and spread hope across the central valley.
